When Your Knees Hit The Floor

When your knees hit the floor

Sending ripples up your spine

And breaking loose those angel wings

That you’ve kept hidden

For just this moment.

When your knees hit the floor

Making a cold electric jolt

Which tells you - enough is enough

You have fallen

As far as you are going to.

When your knees hit the floor

And as you look up

All you can see is their smile

A look which says -

They put you there.

When your knees hit the floor

That is when your heart

Breaks free

And pumps the blood

To let you stand again.
