Lanterns By Bobby Stevenson

for fiona :-)

Don’t think that all of this will last,
When the darkness wears your heart away,
One day,
Someday,
When you least expect it,
The lanterns,
Will bring the light to stay.

Don’t cry at the moon when no one sees you,
For all of us are made to pay,
One day,
Someday,
When your hope is dying,
The lanterns,
Will light another way.

  1. A touching, yet thought provoking poem.
    Like treacle and lemon together.

I have added a link from my website Bobby as I want more people to read your lovely collection of works.
