100 WORDS



My father cried the night the trains stopped running.’ It’ll kill this town stone-dead, mark my words’ - he was right. Folks moved away. The grocery store shut down, and even the church moved to the next village. Then one day, an idea came into mine and my brother’s head at the same time. I guess someone whispered in our ears. My brother was good at mechanical things,  and I was the genius for figures - so we came up with this idea. We ran errands, rented bikes, fetched mail and even brought the vicar over from the next town.
